I am blogging from my new laptop <3

I don't have a name for him yet (and yes, it's a him, he reeks of male charisma). My old laptop was Tip Tappers, an ode to Strong Bad. I'm probably going to choose something in the same vain, but what? WHAAAT? Hrrm.

My brother threw my flash drive into my room, causing it to get lost into the chasm that is my really horrible desk chair. Mom expects me to apologize for being mad at him for haphazardly throwing my most precious files into my room.

Eeeeeeeyeaaah, I think we can all see that's not going to happen. Sorry, but when you treat my stuff like shit and get super defensive when I tell you no, you're wrong, it's not on my bureau all nice and neat, I don't see a reason to apologize. I just don't.

Thank God Kyle found it. I guess one good brother out of two ain't so bad in the grand scheme of things.

My laptop comes tomorrow morning! Eee <3 or afternoon. between 8am and 7pm XD apparently. so I'm gonna sleep on the couch, yesss I am. I wanna watch HBO movies but mom isn't going to bed apparently even though she said she was like TWO HOURS AGO. ugh just leave already.

Guess I'll continue with my book, ho-hum. Special Topics in Calamity Physics. I held off at starting it until the con and I regret it cause it's actually really good. my mom always gives me books that suck that I became accustom to just not reading them (different tastes, we have them). The story's a little fast for me, but I guess it's good there's no flowery, useless chapters, mmm.

No, mom, I seriously did not wake up so you can read to me to really uninteresting articles from the newspaper. Seriously. I know it's hard to believe, but I really just didn't. I also, for the thousandth time, do not care what color you paint the kitchen. Everytime you ask my opinion it's always a shade of green and I've already informed you that I hate the color green, so just stop asking me my opinion it's always going to be the same.

This is the one reason I miss Sara living here, she always talked to her about all this bullshit.

First day back to work since I left for my trip. Exciting times!

CCP keeps telling me I have to take a coreq for English 102. Since when?! I'm gonna register in person (since I'm interested in becoming a nursing major and would like someone to be like 'this is good to take, don't bother taking this', etc.), so hopefully that'll be cleared up. Looking to take 18 credits next semester.

Apparently I'm supposed to use the anthropomorphic tag, which doesn't just mean 'with human characteristics' anymore but 'the lack of human characteristics'. I can sort of see what they mean (if I squint), but it would have been nice if there was more detail to it. Whatever. I know now so it'll never happen again, yadda yadda yadda.

Still, the order of events really needs tweaking.

much love to chakramchucker for fixing my awful sketch. I don't quite like the coloring (especially on the hair, blargh), but I think someone's been messing with my photoshop settings. everything felt too ... idk, it felt off. lines were too dark/thick and stuff like that. damn brothers!

I bought a proper laptop today, a refurbished Toshiba for about 660 after warranty/shipping. very excited, I've never owned a PC before. I promptly bought all of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, too XD and am downloading the files just in case the dvd doesn't get here in time. so I waste NO TIME!

I'm just very excited to have a proper laptop. I really enjoyed Jenny's over the con weekend, it was light and responsive and not bulky and heavy like my mac laptop (which I'm giving to kyle, password and everything, because it still works very well)

I foresee a learning curve because I fail so hard at pcs. they just aren't as intuitive as macs. mrrf. still, exciting!

should be here by the weekend/next monday. Hopefully by the weekend. I ended up actually spending LESS than I anticipated at the con (by about 180 dollars, but seriously) so I felt it okay to splurge just slightly.

I also MIGHT need a new iPod but there's things I haven't tried yet so I'm holding off. If it is broken, I'm thinking about the iTouch cause games=fun and I like the biiig screens for SBEmail watching, but I'm worried cause it's so DIFFERENT from regular iPods.

hopefully mine's not broken lol so I won't have to worry about that XD my mom said her iPod did the same thing once and it's fine now.

edit neverr miiind it's updating just fine. I think the battery was just low and angry at Jenny's smelly charge plug. SMELLLLYYYYY.

I can't recall if it actually smelled I'm just assuming.

Woke up for dinner and it was yummm. When I wake up I need to finish beta reading. That is my job for today, beta reading, yes.

I also should give Uno's a call to see if I'm working tomorrow. I probably am. I feel like I took off until the 7th, but that is today sooo. Still a call would be nice yes.

Since I long deleted the first ever post, I will go with my 'using LJ again post', which was entitled FIRST DAY OFF!

It was the first day of winter vacation, apparently! Waaaaay back at the butt-end of 2003.

I just slept for 17 hours and now I'm very very hungry.

This was weird/adorable. Weirdly adorable. Coach Z's voice is a little more Matt-like than normal. Homestar's, too, especially when he ... sigh ... raps.

I think I shall make a ... food of some kind. Pizza, a hot dog ... maybe pasta. I hope we have pasta.

We're all a bit hungover/sleepy/sick, so we're hanging out the hotel room and watching Deep Impact (chakramchucker bought it for me :X). I'm mostly not watching deep impact caaaaause I hate waiting for things to blow up. just to get to the explodey bits or gtfo.

Kinda didn't do much today. Ate lunch, took a nap, Went to a semi-lame panel on the growth of online fandom, took a peak at a few consuites, then I went back upstairs to sleep/call my family/etc. It's my first time being super far from home alone sooo...

Tomorrow I hit artist alley, which I'm excited about XD I enjoy artists. And alleys. There's some panels I wanna see tomorrow too.
